Use it to give Naruto and Sasuke more understanding, weave it into the plot, don't hold one above the other, use it to your advantage, be creative, be a writer. I know this is just fanfic but it's helpful to understand how using stereotypes or only looking gat the surface can cause different interpretations from others.

Same thing with Naruto. If Kishimoti decided Naruto would be female, then he has to think of a name to go with a female character. If Naruto was born a girl, then Kishimoto maybe given her a personality that's feminine and because if this change, maybe fem Naruto isn't obsessed with ramen, so thus, a ramen pun wouldn't be a thing. So no Naruko.

Naruto on the other hand had to go through a journey to become merciful, he wasn't cruel but he was fully down to kill Haku and Zabuza (and was about to kill Haku himself until Kakashi's attack), his development is largely about learning to empathise with his enemies and actively choosing to break the cycle of hatred and violence.
